Portraits

Here, likeness or proportions are not essential.
What matters much more, and is far more interesting to me, is to use facial features, expression, and character to depict a landscape, a still life, or to tell some kind of comic or tragic story.

Sound & Rhythm

Music, and jazz in particular, is for me the most emotionally expressive form of art.
And I have always been interested in attempts to convey this feeling through paint.
Although, of course, describing music is like dancing about architecture.

Nevertheless, sometimes, it seems to me, it is still possible to embody rhythm in form and make sound visible.
In any case, it is for you to judge how successful I am at this.

Love & Desire

Sex and love govern almost all of our actions and intentions. This is well known in theory.
Thank God, in everyday life we often forget about it.
Otherwise, our life would turn into an endless nightmare, or into a collection of not very flattering anecdotes about ourselves.

Scroll this series and see for yourself what I mean.

Coffee & Cigarettes

They give me a chance to surface from the depths, to catch my breath, to look aroundโ€ฆ
A cigarette, an espresso โ€” it only takes a few minutes, but it helps to make life discrete, each stage complete.
This is how the day acquires its rhythm โ€” from cup to cup, from cigarette to cigarette.
Moments of awareness and calm.

Reflections

Here are works which, as it seems to me, open up space for interpretation and personal meaning. They are more layered, more philosophical, more polyphonic.
I would like to hope that these works reveal themselves over time, rather than at first glance.

My art at my collectors places

  • I think we’ll buy another one in the future

We really love the painting we bought, and your style. The one we have is in the living room, we have guitars and a bass in the room so it participates into the whole atmosphere. We’re really attached to it.

  • It brings a little smile to my face every time

My partner and I hung the painting in our dining area, where it immediately became a real eye-catcher. We affectionately named the camel in the painting โ€œOmarโ€โ€”itโ€™s almost like part of the family to us now. It almost feels as though the camel is greeting me from inside, even before Iโ€™ve stepped into the house.
